Read through this guide to learn about Breakpoints in a DMN Model. When you are working with Decision Model and Notation, or DMN models, it can be difficult to narrow down where issues are occuring, especially if the model is complex. Breakpoints are useful when there is a certain part of a model you need to skip to when running in debug mode.

Adding Breakpoints

To add a breakpoint in a DMN model, right-click on that item and in the popup menu select “Add Breakpoint”. To remove a breakpoint, do the same, but select “Remove Breakpoint” from the menu. Breakpoints can be added in and out of debug mode.

In a Decision Table, add a breakpoint by right-clicking on the index number of a row and selecting “Add Breakpoint.” While executing that decision table, click “Next Breakpoint” to move debug mode forward to that row.
