⛔Decision Intelligence cannot have an organizational impact if we do not design the “intelligence” for the organization.

Last night, I had a presentation in #DecisionCAMP and was referring to the “regulated environment” in which organizations operate.

What if organizations are not regulated? (a question from an audience)

To increase the impact of #DecisionIntelligence in organizations, DI projects should be related to and improve business operations.

The operation of business may not be regulated in the sense of government regulation; however, the internal policies and procedures of organization establish that body.

🚩In addition to those, almost always, there are laws from local and national authorities (i.e., regulations) influencing how the company should operate. So DI projects that touch the operation of a business should make that operation knowledge (driven by regulation) part of the design phase of the intelligence.

Therefore, the #regulations, #policies, and #businessrules will establish the body of knowledge of what is acceptable and what is not as the approach and outcomes of many automated decisions that will influence business operations in any capacity.

✨If we do not include this knowledge as part of the foundation of #DI projects from the beginning, the project cannot and will not get traction with organizations. It will not affect the operation of the business and, consequently, will not have the impact we hoped for.

💣Just as a side note, remember that all these regulations, rules, and policies will change. Therefore, it becomes even more important to design intelligence rather than let that happen to us.

🚀The Decision Intelligence Architecture allows us to design the “intelligence” that is accepted for the operation of the business. Additionally, it gives the executive and leadership a roadmap that is aligned with their ambitus regarding how far down the path of decision automation they want to go. They are in control, so there are more chances they will trust and evangelize.
