STOP celebrating cleverness of AI agents and start governing them.

AI Agents must be governed in two levels.

1️⃣ Decisions: What is decided?
What decisions they should make
How they go about it
✅ The explicit decision model that enforces clarity, explainability and defensibility.

2️⃣ Actions: What gets executed?
What actions they can execute
Under what context at runtime they are allowed
✅ Admissibility at runtime execution boundary to determine what is still valid right now.

Without governing these two together, your clever AI agents are not safe to operate in any business.
Especially in regulated environments.

Why?

❗Regulation is getting tighter when AI agent impact is significant.
• Livelihood
• Health
• Life

💥Decisions should be governed with open standards such as Decision Model and Notation (DMN) that governs intent with clarity.
And its Conformance Level 3 which ensures execution transparency, fidelity and explainability.

What about governance of actions:
• What actions are they allowed to take?
• At runtime, is that action still valid?

Two gates, covers the action admissibility.
