🚫Do not confuse the “intelligence” in the Decision Intelligence with your experience in #chatgpt #llms.
✨Decision Intelligence is AI for decision-making in organizations that run critical operations in regulated and dynamic environments. #AI is a field, and there are many different techniques and algorithms under this umbrella. Not all of them are the right algorithms or types of intelligence for decision-making in organizations.
💡The intelligence that can be deployed at scale in a highly dynamic, changing, and regulated environment must:
* be based on a symbolic AI foundation
* be based on domain knowledge and operation expertise of SMEs
* be fully explainable and transparent
💣We need to lay down a foundation to build intelligence with these characteristics for a dynamic and regulated environment. We cannot go from zero to autonomous intelligence in one step. This foundation has nothing to do with #data #machinelearning #algorithms and so on.
The ultimate intelligence is built on top of the preceding layers of intelligence and knowledge. There are five layers of intelligence.
🔹Knowledge Core: This captures organizations' domain and business concepts, facts, relationships, and business decisions.
🔹Intelligence Core: Enables organizations to build the first intelligence level based on the “Knowledge Core” using business rules and predictive models.
The most important characteristics of this layer is that it is open, transparent, fully explainable and more importantly interoperable.
Once organizations establish this layer of intelligence, they can build upon it for more:
🔹Expert Intelligence: This level of intelligence allows intelligent agents to understand the environment in which they operate, respond to events, and delegate tasks to other agents and humans when needed. More importantly, the decisions made at this level are optimized for a goal, and this level of intelligence has the ability to reason and plan.
🔹Cognitive Intelligence: It enables organizations to make decisions based on future events, predictions, and forecasts in an uncertain situation.
🔹Autonomous Intelligence: This enables intelligent agents to learn from environmental changes and the impacts of already-made decisions automatically or with human supervision and input.
🚀The intelligence we aim and seek in dynamic and regulated environment within enterprises for decision-making is very different from what we see #ai for increasing productivity. This intelligence must be transparent, explainable, deterministic, and potentially open in many cases.
