* Optimization sees policy
* Decisioning in marketing sees NBA
* Data scientists see Machine Learning algorithms
* Data engineers and BI pros see ETL, pipeline and dashboard
…and so on…

💡These are all a proxy to a decision. They are how we implement decisions and NOT what a decision is.

You see the common misconception in these patters?

They confuse their own expertise that is a form of a “decision logic” as a decision.

A business decision is an enterprise entity on its own. It's a self-existence concept and asset. It is NOT the data, process, algorithm, policy, dashboard, rule… and so on.
