The All New Version 8.1 Released
We are very excited to announce version 8.1 of the Advanced Decision Management Suite is released. In this release, the focus is on reusability and flexibility.
From reusability aspects of automating operational decisions, decision services offer a lot in terms of sharing a decision across multiple applications and processes, as well as part of other decisions. But, there are limitations to this approach.
For example, what if you need to share a decision in an offline environment in which accessing service is not viable? Or what if a decision is too big, and you need a part of the decision?
Enabling Inter-projects and Offline Decision Sharing
In complex automation programs, there is a need to reuse the decision of one package into another one. This is normally done by Decision-as-a-Service. But there are scenarios for offline mode or direct execution of existing decisions without a service call. In these scenarios, the Decision Package can be shared as a part of the project and it has become available in version 8.1.
Wide Range of Boxed Expressions
Boxed Expressions allow building a procedural and reusable set of expressions. The new version 8.1 supports a more complete set of boxed expressions such as Literal, Native, and Function boxed expressions
Azure Storage and NoSql Database
The other part of the version 8.1 focus is about flexibility. Allowing users to build situation-aware decisions for different scenarios. This version offers out-of-the-box support for a few new external data sources such as Azure CosmosDB, Blob Storage and Queue.
New abilities to deal with missing data and field of information and bulk data operations to make dealing with complex and hierarchical data more intuitive. Also, in the new version, we introduced dynamic routing for boxed expressions that allows choosing the right set of formulas and boxed expressions based on changing context at runtime dynamically.
On top of these, there are many enhancements in user experience and usabilities such as export to excel, support for file attachment upload using REST service, online container generator for containerized deployment and many more…
Please feel free to see a demo for more information in detail.
