When externalizing rules and logic from your application, everything is good until there is an issue and you want to debug your rules and logic.
The problem with using the usual rules engine is that you cannot really debug your rules and logic outside of your application. You need to run your application, attach your application to the debugger and then start debugging your rules and logic. And this is not always possible, right?
However, if you are using our Rule Designer then it is possible, because you do not need to have your application running in order to debug the rules and logic. You can simply load your rules and logic and start debugging it line-by-line.
Advanced highlighter and Parameters window:
In this new version we introduced two advanced features of debugging. Highlighter shows you with a yellow highlight and a yellow arrow which steps you are debugging, and the Parameter section allows you to view all the parameters used in running the rules in the current context of execution. That includes all your Input and Output variable parameters and all Type parameters.
And YES! In this new release you can start debugging your flow, right from the Designer.
Happy debugging rules and logic!
