🛑 STOP calling classic decision automation “Agentic Decision Intelligence.”
Classic Decision Intelligence was built to answer a decision at a point in time.
• An event is triggered.
• Rules and decision models are evaluated.
• A result is returned.
• Then the process moves on.
That still matters.
Rules, decision tables, predictive models, and decision services remain essential.
🚩 But they are not agentic.
Agentic Decision Intelligence needs more.
It needs:
• A Continuous Decision Model to manage decisions across stages and over time.
• Live Context so every decision understands the current customer, situation, history, permissions, events, and state.
• AI agents that can observe, reason, act, and collaborate with humans and systems.
• Humans in the loop when judgement, approval, or intervention is required.
And it still needs explicit rules and decision models to define boundaries, policies, admissibility, and accountability.
So this is not:
…AI agents instead of rules.
✨ Agentic Decision Intelligence is:
• Continuous Decision Model
• Live Context
• AI agents
• Humans in the loop
• Explicit rules and decisions for governance
That is the difference.
Agentic does not remove decision management.
💣 It makes decision management continuous, contextual, multi-actor, and goal-driven, while giving AI agents governed autonomy.
