💡A business decision is a commitment to a course of actions in order to find an answer to a business question.
Determining the final judgment about a subject in a context based on data and insight by applying rules and computation logic to create an outcome.
Knowing that a ✨“good” decision is what everybody strives for, but no one is truly clear about what it is.
To cut through the confusion, we can define the “good” decision with five “core” qualities:
🔹Clarity: All stakeholders are clear about how they arrive at the outcome from the inputs
🔹Consistency: Executing them repeatedly should consistently produce accurate outcomes.
🔹Alignment: The outcomes are aligned with business values and objectives
🔹Transparency: After execution, be able to trace exactly how a specific outcome was produced.
🔹Adaptability: Outcomes do not become disconnected from reality as context, conditions, and circumstances change.
