Decision Governance for Autonomous Agents
You just saw the four layers. Here they are to take with you.
Governed decisions. Deterministic, explainable, defensible to the regulator.
Governed context. The agent sees exactly what this decision needs. Nothing more.
Governed actions. Authorization is fixed. Admissibility is situational.
Governed agents. Identity, behavior, and a runtime trust score that throttles
autonomy.

⛔DO NOT confuse Decision Automation and Decision Orchestration!
It is very easy to confuse these two concepts as they have some similarities:
* They are about decisions
* They will automate business decisions
* They both involve rules, machine learning, and data, etc.
However, there is a profound distinction between them. #CDO#CIO#CDAO#CTO
Let's dive in…
🔷Decision Automation: The goal of decision automation is to “automate” a specific business decision based on explicitly defined decision models to increase efficiencies. It may involve invoking one or more specific decision models, where decision models collaborate and execute different decision logic based on #businessrules #machinelearning #data processing, # AI #llms, etc., aiming to automate a very specific business decision.
🔷Decision Orchestration: The goal of decision orchestration is to create a business outcome in a dynamic environment considering the whole decisioning scenario end-to-end, where the sequences of the decisions involved are not prescriptive. Therefore, it can deal with uncertainties and changes and will improve and change behavior based on real-time responses events and feedback. It pulls together and connects multiple discrete decisions, processes and etc., across boundaries and runs over an extended period until it creates the desired business outcome.
💡Additionally, decision orchestration involves humans in the mix for augmentation and validation to ensure we don't lose sight of automated decisions and processes.
💣Organizations across all industries #banking #financialservices #insurance #government #health #logistics require both “decision automation” and “decision orchestration” to ensure they can create and deliver business value from their technology investments such as #ai#data#llms.
