⚠️The Decision Intelligence starts with “Decision”. Read it again. It literally starts with the “Decision”.
Contrary to many professionals, the concept of ” decision ” is still unclear to many people. Many have their own definition or their own way of representing it.
Some wrongly may also think:
❌ decision is a process
❌decision is business rules
❌decision is data and dashboards
❌decision is machine learning and algorithms
❌decision is an optimization model using constraints
Because of these differences of opinion, people use different techniques and languages to model a decision. So, I believe we do not need to argue about this anymore.

✨Decision Model and Notation (or DMN) is a modeling language and notation to represent organizations' decision-making scenarios.

• simplify the development of decisioning systems using specifications that may be automatically validated and executed

Although DMN integrated rules modeling as part of the DMN notation, this should not stop innovation from allowing other types of decision logic, such as #optimization, #machinelearning, #scoring #data processing, and so on, to be integrated into a decision model.
🚀What's best is the Decision Model and Notation is not just a beautiful visual diagram. It also provides aspects of Runtime behaviour which means the diagrams and model created by DMN are executable.
